December 1 3:45-4:00

Today I came back to the spot with it being 51 degrees and a slight breeze making it a little chilly outside. When I got to my spot it had not changed very much from the last time except the trees trunks got a little lighter colored and the leaves were a lot more crunchy and easier to break. The patch of horsetail was still the same and didn't change at all during my time observing it. No animals were present the spot

Tuesday November 24 3:30-3:45

I returned to the spot for the first time in a week and a half. It was a chilly 50 degrees on a cloudy day. Nothing has really changed much except for that most of the leaves are on the ground. A few leaves still remain on a little tree. Still not much sign of life. The patch of horsetail still hasn't changed since I have first started tracking it.

There was a cricket chirping in the background, the first sign of life I have seen at the spot. The leaves started changing colors today. They turned to a yellow color.

Leaves

Some leaves from the spot

The patch did not change very much from the last time that I visited it.

Monday October 19 5:15-5:30

I returned to the spot today at a nice temperature of 60 degrees. It was clear not very many clouds in the sky but still not much light into my spot. The light couldn't get through because of the amount of leaves still on the branches. Again no visible creatures in sight. I did spot a few deer tracks on my way to my spot. The leaves remained green again but a few more turned color since the last time I have been to the spot.
This patch of growing things on the ground intrigued me. I wonder how it will look the next time I return to the spot.
